Every morning there's a halo hanging
from the corner of my girlfriend's four post bed
I know it's not mine but I'll see if I can use it for
the weekend or a one-night stand

The guy who wouldn't quit blaring Sugar Ray in the UNY student lounge? He was going to die. Painfully. Possibly with the CD down his throat.

Granted, Angela usually wouldn't be cranky about something like that. But, usually, Abby was a baby who was willing to sleep for more than 90 minutes at a stretch. And, usually, she and Marty were able to use the time when the baby slept to do ... grown-up, tension-relieving things that just hadn't been happening. And usually, she didn't have a European History midterm in two hours that she had hardly managed to study at all for. And, usually, she hadn't decided cramming in a sticky student lounge chair was her best hope at even pretending to be focused enough to pass the test.

And now she had to deal with Mr. Every Morning.

I know it's not mine and I know she thinks she loves me
but I never can believe what she said
Something so deceiving

Angela pried herself out of the chair and went to say something to him. "Excuse me?"

He looked up with a painfully stupid expression on his sideburned face. "Yeah?"

"Can you turn it down?"

"What's your problem?"

Angela must have been channeling someone with a spine for once. She reached down and firmly shut off the CD player. "Do you really want to find out?"

He gave her a bitch is crazy look, but scurried away.

The Korean conversational circle chatting in the corner applauded as Angela went back to her notes.
