Room 304, Monday Night [NFB, for Isabel Evans]

Angela is reading through her notes for study group, and worrying about the people in the group, as she waits for Isabel.

She hopes things will go according to plan, but somehow, she thinks they won't.

Angela studies Isabel for a moment, deciding to trust her.

"Okay. So." She draws a deep breath. "Friday night, Angel and Aeryn Sun and some of the other trained fighters are going to go out and, basically, try to kill every vampire on the island. They need support -- people to take care of first aid and commuinications and so on. From what you said yesterday, and because you got attacked yourself, I thought you might want to help with that. Interested?"

"Count me in," Isabel said as soon as she understood what they wanted from her.

"Good. Good," Angela says, flipping to a notebook page on which she had written down her notes from the night before. "Rory Gilmore's in charge of Support -- she would know exactly what you should do better than me. The rest of our team is Cordelia Chase, Xander Harris and Sam Carter."

"We had a meeting yesterday, and kind of sketched out the stuff we're doing, but we're going to do more planning and some shopping tomorrow after classes, then go back to Rory's room to discuss stuff. Rory and I will probably leave from the library after seventh period, or we should be in her room tomorrow after dinner."

"Xander? Xander's involved in this?" Isabel shook her head, impressed.

"Okay, I'll talk to Rory then. But in the meantime, I could meet up with the both of you after seventh period if you need help then," she said. "There's a Humanities dinner at Rory's step-dad's diner tomorrow night that I need to go to, I'm not sure when I'll be back."

"Have you talked to Xander about his hometown? Him and Cordy both. This is, like, kindergarten-level stuff for them," Angela says, eyebrows raised.

"And yeah, that's fine, if you have to go to the dinner. We had talked about getting dinner ourselves, so we might get it to go, or just go to Deb's or the Chinese place. Will you be okay walking back?"

"Actually no we haven't. I'm going to have to ask him about it." She shrugged. "I'm just surprised, he doesn't seem like the hero type."

"Walking back? Oh god, it'll be after dark won't it? I'll have to see if I can find someone to walk back with. Although it really didn't help last week. There were four of us and we still got in trouble."

"I don't think he is, really," Angela says, after thinking about it for a minute. "I haven't talked to him about it a ton, but when I have, it sounds like it was just circumstance. You know?"

She shudders at the mention of the attack on the four girls. "Holy water," she says briefly. "Crosses. And at least you know what you're watchign for now, right?" Though that didn't help Rory, she thinks, and pushes it down. "I'm sure nothing will happen."

"I guess I'll ask Xander. If he's been doing this for a while, he probably has some I can borrow."

Getting up from the chair she asked, "So should I meet you at the library at the end of seventh period?"

Angela nods. "Xander should have some stuff for you. I'd loan you my cross, but it's kind of special. It's a long story."

Rising herself, she adds, "See you at the library. And thank you."

"I'll ask him. He owes me for feeding his frog this weekend. Meal worms. Yuck! Even if they are dried."

"No, thank you for asking me. I want to help." With one last smile she opened the door and left.
