Subject: Summer is over?

Hi everyone,

I know, I know, I've kind of been the invisible woman since graduation. I promise, I am still around.

I spent the summer working at my dad's restaurant. It was .... interesting is a good word. He gets a lot of businessmen and their suits make me itchy. But I got some money saved up. Last month I helped Marty move to New York, and this week I moved into my dorm. I have one really cool roommate named Felicity and one creepy goth roomie whose name I can't figure out because she is never around. I'm taking physics, intro to creative writing, medieval history, the baseline English lit course, and dance. Five classes that meet three times a week seems like an insane amount of work; Fandom spoiled me. Anyone else having adjustment problems?

I miss you all. How long is it until I can see you guys at Homecoming?

-Angela

So there had been more goodbyes and some post-goodbye recovery, and time to be emo and talk to Marty, Nadia and new boy JD on the roof. Angela was mostly happy to be alone with her thoughts as she laid back on her bed.

Feeling like she should at least do something mildly productive, she opened Marty's borrowed laptop and checked her e-mail )

...and it reminded her of a whole new set of people she had to miss. She stared glumly out the window into the night.

[OOC: Mostly for Marty. This has been such an emo week.]

Hey, person I just talked to ten minutes ago.

Parker wants you to write her.

Also, she loves your new look, so there.

After sociology, Angela spent most of her evening trying to solve the game Dr. Grissom made the class play. She could almost beat it...

Then she found a web site that would let her play Tetris and the rest of her night was gone. Blinking at her clock, she quickly dashed off an email to Marty ) before relaxing back into studying.

Or at least, she planned to study. Really.

One more game of Tetris couldn't hurt.

Life in Fandom meant very few things still surprised Angela.

However, the sight of inch-high bunnies staging what looked like the finale from Fame on top of her government textbook when she came in from an aimless walk around town was on that list.

Especially when she glanced over at Min's bed and noticed that the cat, mesmerized by the dancing, seemed to be resigned to the ten wee bunnies who hugged her fur.

The bunnies finished dancing, so Angela did the polite thing. She applauded.

The cast applauded her back, then hugged her shoelaces as she booted up Marty's laptop and began to type. )

There were no lemurs in the computer lab, a fact for which Angela was quite grateful indeed. She sat down at a terminal and started to type.
