Room 304, Sunday night

Angela had pushed the beds together and covered them with every pillow or cushion she could get her hands on -- if the third floor common room appears slightly denuded, blame her.

Of course, Min claimed a prime spot in the middle of the bed-couch-thing. And sneered. It was amazing how big and immobile a ten-pound cat could look.

She set out some snacks and drinks on the desk, then turned to trying to set up Marty's laptop to act as a DVD player. It couldn't be that complicated, could it? She bit her lip, wondering if she'd need to wait for him to get back from his trip to the store before they could start.

Finally, the disc loaded, and she let up a cheer as she waited for her guests.

Anakin looked deeply suspicious. "He can turn into a butterfly?" he asked.

Yoda was asleep and missing this entire exchange.

"Yes," Rory said seriously. "Soon he'll go into a cocoon and emerge shortly thereafter with wings and antennae."

Anakin looked at Angela. "Really?"

Angela made her eyes very wide and tried to keep from laughing. "I have seen it happen," she said. "One day a turtle, the next a butterfly. it's really cool."

Anakin blinked at Yoda.

Yoda continued to sleep.

"Huh."

He put the tank down on the desk and turned around. "So what are we watching tonight?"

"We have The Realguy Show," Angela said. "It's about a guy whose whole life is a TV show. And Marty thought you might like Humphrey Bogart, Anakin, so we rented Casablanca and The Maltese Falcoln."

She left off his suggestions about movies with bells in them. It would take a very long time to explan.

"I haven't seen any of them," Anakin said, squeezing onto the bed well away from Min. "They sound good to me."

Min harrumphed and escaped for the space under the bed, perhaps to dream of a world in which she was queen and there were no flying dfogs or boys with braids.

Angela's hand skittered out. "Casablanca is a classic," she said, then her eyes skittered to Rory and Anakin and she realized what a bad idea it would be. "But Realguy Show is funny, and, um, ... yeah. Funny is good. I only have the laptop, so we might ned to squish a little." She took a seat on the bed, leaving room for Rory next to Anakin.

"So how have you guys been this weekend?," she asked. She was willing to start without Marty, but it couldn't hurt to wait just a couple minutes.

"It was our anniversary on Friday," Rory said, taking a seat between them. "And other than that, I have had an exceptionally boring weekend. How are things with you, oh em gee? Anything interesting?"

"Not really," Angela admitted. "I barely left my room yesterday or today. It's pretty sad."

"Was it eight or nine months for you guys?"
